During the first full week of April each year, communities across the United States observe National Public Health Week as a time to recognize the contributions of public health and highlight issues that are important to improving our nation. The theme this year is “Building Bridges to Better Health,” emphasizing the importance of coming together in a time when we are physically distant.
This year, NACHW will be participating, and we would like your help showcasing the importance of Community Health Workers in public health. We ask that during this week, you create and share short videos through your social media. If you are able to participate, follow the instructions below.
- Record a short video (no longer than 90 seconds) about the value of CHWs in public health and/or how you as a CHW contribute to public health
- Hold the camera horizontally (on its side)
- Upload the video and a caption to your social media profile. This can be on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram
- When uploading to your social media, make sure to tag NACHW. We will receive a notification and can then share your video

- Facebook: @chwnational
