New Mexico believes that now is the time to modernize Medicaid to assure that the State is buying the most effective, efficient health care possible for our most vulnerable and needy citizens and to create a sustainable program for the future. The State seeks approval of a Section 1115 waiver to create a comprehensive, managed care delivery system under which contracted health plans will offer the full array of current Medicaid services, including acute, behavioral health, home and community based and long term institutional care.
