In a healthcare system pressured to improve access and reduce disparities, examination of the characteristics of CHWs utilized in Missouri public health agencies for diabetes and hypertension management as well as investigation of the training and education needs of those workers will lay the foundation for the state to meet the CDC’s Goals and Recommendations.
