This report provides the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with the final results of the 2016 Community Health Worker Employer Survey,1 designed, conducted, and analyzed by the Michigan Community Health Worker Alliance (MiCHWA) at the University of Michigan School of Social Work. In April and May 2016, MiCHWA conducted this survey of employers and managers of CHWs to gain a better understanding of the work CHWs are doing in Michigan, how CHWs positions are sustained, and how the CHW field has evolved since 2014. The survey was distributed online to employer representatives through MiCHWA’s existing mailing list database, Web-based media, and partner mailing lists. It was open to all Michigan-based CHW employers.
