As a response to the emotional stress caused by coronavirus/COVID-19, the Arizona Community Health Worker Association (AzCHOW) has put together a series of Mental Health webinars both in Spanish and English for the Community Health Workers workforce, which includes: CHWs, Community Health Representatives, and Promotores (and all persons that will like to take advantage of this much needed information).
“At AzCHOW we are committed to always providing the necessary tools that community health workers are needing to help our communities. We know the importance of maintaining good emotional health in moments like those we are experiencing, and recognize the impact that emotions can have on our physical health.
That is why we invite you to connect to our Mental Health webinar that we will be offering every week, where we will be providing tools and techniques to lessen the impact that COVID-19 is bringing to our lives.
Last week we began with the Spanish webinar Managing Emotions/Manejando las Emociones and this Thursday, April 16th we will begin our first of 6 English webinars, and we will continue with week 2 of the Spanish webinars.”
